Donald Staub

 

Donald Staub is an Assistant Professor and the Director of the School of Foreign Languages at Izmir University of Economics in Izmir, Turkey. He also served for four years as the coordinator of the Quality Assurance Unit within the School of Foreign Languages at Isik University (Istanbul). Donald has a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Eastern Michigan University (EMU), and an MA (TESOL) and BA (Literature) from Michigan State University. Dr. Staub is a trained and experienced reviewer for the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA), as well on the leadership team of DEDAK, the Turkish language program accrediting body. He also has significant accreditation experience with institutions in the U.S. that have been accredited by NCA, SACS, and CAEP. His primary research interests lie in EFL quality assurance, student retention, delivery of English medium instruction, micro-credentials and digital badges, with recent book chapters on quality assurance in EFL programs as well as quality assurance in ESP programs. His edited volume Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Foreign Language Education (Springer) was published in 2019.

Dr. Serkan Aras

 

Serkan Aras works as the Undergraduate English Programme Coordinator at ÖzyeÄŸin University. He received his combined BA and MA degree in English Teacher Education from Bilkent University in 2008 and his PhD in American Culture and Literature from Kadir Has University in 2018. He also holds a DELTA from Cambridge University. Prior to ÖzyeÄŸin University, he worked at Ä°stanbul Bilgi University as an instructor.

Ahmet Kayıntu

 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kayıntu graduated from Atatürk University, Kazım Karabekir Faculty of Education, Department of English Language Education in 1998. He worked as an English teacher and inspector at the Ministry of National Education. He received his MA degree from Atatürk University Kazım Karabekir Education Faculty, Department of English Language Teaching in 2001. After graduating from the doctorate program he started in the same department, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Bingöl University. He founded the Department of English Language and Literature in 2010. He actively pioneered the establishment of the School of Foreign Languages ​​in 2012 and was appointed as the Director of the School of Foreign Languages ​​in 2016. In addition to his duty as a director, he is also the coordinator of Bingöl University Foreign Relations, Erasmus, Mevlana and Farabi exchange programs. In 2021, he received the title of Associate Professor and still continues his duty as a faculty member in the same department. Assoc. Dr. Ahmet KAYINTU has worked as an executive and member in many commissions and working groups related to the Bologna Process, especially on quality assurance and national qualifications framework, and has worked in these areas.
