Purpose

DEDAK aims to raise the quality of language education to meet international standards and carries out the following with a view to achieving this goal;

  • establishing domestic quality standards for language education,

  • performing testing & assessment and accreditation studies,

  • organizing trainings/workshops and creating educational opportunities in different fields of language programs,

  • carrying out studies regarding the organization and management of the programs, informative studies regarding education and teaching; studies regarding evaluation and accreditation,

  • conducting auditing and certification processes of educational institutions/schools providing language education within the framework of established standards 

  • developing language education programs, organizing workshops/trainings with professionals having wide experience in their fields so as to increase the number of auditors throughout the country,

  • providing educational and advisory services on how to achieve levels that meet the desired standards.

Mission

DEDAK’s mission is promoting the quality of language education by guiding the institutions operating in the field of language education. In the process of accomplishing this mission DEDAK;

  • continuously upgrades and updates the comprehensive evaluation criteria it has developed,

  • maintains the sustainability of quality in language education by encouraging team members to regularly self-evaluate their work performance and identify areas for improvement,   

  • keeps closely in touch with international language accreditation institutions and organizes joint projects/trainings with them; calls on peer reviews if deemed necessary, 

  • provides educational/training services for the establishment, promotion and sustainability of quality language education processes.
