Bahar Gün​

Dr. Bahar Gün holds BA, MA and PhD degrees in ELT. She has been working at Ä°zmir University of Economics since 2003. She currently works as the Head of the Teacher Development Unit in the School of Foreign Languages (SFL) at IUE. She is in charge of in-service teacher training and development programs in the SFL. Her research interests include EFL teacher education in general, and teacher cognition and reflective teaching and learning in particular. She is also a CELTA and ICELT tutor, and an OTA trainer. She is the president of TESOL Turkey Association.
Dr. Damla Yapar

Damla Pınar Yapar is a teacher, teacher educator and a researcher. Having graduated from METU, Department of Foreign Language Education in 1997, she completed her MSc (METU) and PhD (Hacettepe University) in Curriculum and Instruction. She worked at Başkent University as an English instructor, curriculum developer, test writer and teacher trainer for 21 years. She is currently working as an English instructor and professional development unit member at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. Her research areas include teacher education, EAP, ESP, and curriculum studies.

PERÄ°HAN ÇAYIREZMEZ

Perihan Çayırezmez graduated from Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ), English Language Teaching Department. She has an M.A degree on the same field from Hacettepe University. She holds an E-Moderation Certificate from The Consultants-E, Online Training & Development Consultancy. She has been in the field of ELT for 24 years. She started her teaching career at BaÅŸkent University. Since 2002, at Ä°stanbul Bilgi University (Ä°BU) English Language Preparatory Program, as well as teaching, she has taken on other responsibilities, such as working as a curriculum and test advisor, team leader, mentor, and online teaching pedagogical consultant. At IBU she took part in EAQUALS (The European Association for Quality Language Service) accreditation committee as a Preparatory Program Curriculum Advisor during the initial accreditation (2004) and the renewal of the accreditation (2007). In addition, between 2015-2020 she was a Pedagogical Consultant at Ä°BU Distance Education Center (UZEM) and provided one-on-one support for the faculty members with their fully online and blended course designs and delivered workshops to empower them. She was also a member of the steering committee of CEA (The Commission on English Language Program Accreditation), which resulted in the awarding of the 5-year accreditation (2014), and 10-year (2021) renewal of the accreditation of IBU English Language Preparatory Program. Currently, she is working as a teacher and a Teacher Trainer at IBU English Language Preparatory Program. She has been designing and teaching fully online and blended elective courses at GE (General Education) program and ELT courses at the department of English Language Teacher Education at Ä°BU. She is one of the authors of teaching guide prepared by Bilgi Institutional Development and Quality Coordination Office, Academic and Professional Development Unit. She believes in the idea of life-long learning. She is particularly interested in teacher education and development and online teaching pedagogy and course design
Müge Akgedik
Müge Akgedik completed her BA at METU English Language Teaching Department; her MA on Social Policy at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and her PhD on Social Policy at the same university is still in progress. During her twelve years at Çankaya University, she successfully carried out studies as the academic coordinator, as a member of curriculum development, material development and assessment and evaluation units. In 2012, she started working at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University School of Foreign Languages, first as the academic general coordinator and then as the Deputy Director, and carried out the quality processes that resulted in Edexcel accreditation in 2014. She supported the establishment of the Independent Learning Center in 2012, which is one of the firsts on national scale, and contributed to the development of the quality assurance system in the language learning process by being one of the pioneers of the hybrid/flipped language education program in 2013 and the Language Learning Advising program in 2017. She was awarded the DELTA diploma in 2017 and started to work as a CELTA trainer. She still continues her duties as a member of the AYBU Quality Board and as a CELTA/CELT-S/CELT-P trainer, in addition to her duties as SFL Deputy Director.
Her academic research interests include independent learning, learning advising, teacher training, social policy in education, quality assurance and accreditation.
